Do you hesitate to commit? Or do you over-commit?
These two extremes are a common reality in this age. The question is: Why these extremes?
To solve one end of this extreme—you have to learn to say yes.
And to solve the other end—you have to learn to say no.
So if it comes down to just saying yes or no, why is it so difficult?
The culprit is the “paradox of choices.” We are all so overwhelmed with so many choices that we either simply ignore them all or choose too many.
The solution is to find the strength to turn things (such as distractions, or unimportant habits and routines) off. Realizing that there are too many options and picking only one is more important than just staring at a multitude.
And sometimes choosing none, and deciding to move on to something else is also a choice.
Realize that all options and choices are tools for “life-development.” Choosing none or all will not make your life better. Choosing the right one will.
Choose things with intent, with purpose, with clarity—then commit 100 percent.
