“If you work harder, you will be successful. If you are more successful, you will be happier.”
So goes the common mantra—work hard to become successful, then when you are successful, you will be happy.
But, that’s a broken formula.
If you follow that formula, you might work hard and become successful; however, there is no guarantee you will be happy.
To fix this, we need to inverse the formula. We need to first usher in more positivity to our lives, to increase our happiness levels. With more happiness, we can achieve more success. And the more success we achieve, the easier it will be to work hard.
So . . . here is the “corrected” success and happiness formula:
“The happier you are, the more success you will achieve. The more success you achieve, the easier it will be to work hard.”
