Diminishing Uncertainty

Uncertainty is facing a range of possible outcomes.

It will always be present in our lives because we cannot control the results of our actions.

However, we can reduce the risk of uncertainty by doing things that bring down its level.

For example: If you’re uncertain of which college/university you’ll get into with the grades you have, you can reduce the uncertainty risk by applying to as many colleges as you can.

If you apply to a hundred colleges, chances are you’ll be selected by at least a few. But if you only apply to a dozen colleges, then the risk of not getting selected at all is high.

With uncertainty ever present in our lives, we can only try playing the game right by reducing the risks, and not trying to predict the results.

It is okay to live with an uncertain future, with an unclear future path.

But there is no reason why you shouldn’t apply for as many good future paths, as you can.
