If you observe cab drivers, you will see that many make a number of empty trips during their work hours.
Empty trips = burning gas = burning dollars.
But empty trips are fine for them—they know they have to make them, in order to find the next ride.
Sometimes you cannot wait at one stop, burn nothing, and expect a ride to come from nowhere. You have to go find it, and expend resources in the chase.
If you are trying to set up a business or find meaningful work, be prepared to devote appropriate resources (time, energy, and money) to finding “it.”
If a cab driver is prepared to do so, shouldn’t you be prepared too?
