If you find yourself in a situation where it’s hard to:
. . . plan for the future,
. . . envision forthcoming blessings,
. . . decide on what’s good for now and what’s good for later,
. . . and implement future planning . . .
A better route would be to return to your present and write down your story.
. . . Write your present story, what’s happening now, and then try to imagine how your story progresses into the future.
. . . Write the story of how you got to where you are currently. Continuing to imagine, write what will take you further.
. . . Write down the twists and turns in your story so far. Is there another twist or a turn around the corner? How would you be better prepared this time? Write down all your thoughts.
Our individual story of the past, the present, and imagining how “that” story progresses further is a beautiful way to plan and move in a chosen direction.
It also turns out that once you write down your story till the present, you could add twists (. . . or turns) to change your future story altogether!
