It’s easy to blame another “entity” when you fail:
. . . The system is unfair!
. . . The market is too demanding!
. . . It wasn’t my job!
. . . I got second-rate specs!
. . . The competition is ruthless!
The list of reasons for failure is endless.
Instead of blaming the “other,” ask yourself: “If I were to blame myself, what’s the list of reasons?”
External factors are never in anyone’s control.
A little or deep introspection, where you list out the reasons for the failure, can go a long way toward improving yourself in the game you’re in.
If you find yourself with a list of generalized external reasons for failure, it might be worthwhile to look inside to find more correct, responsible reasons.
