A hobby is something you do because you like it. You do it in your spare time; you do it for pleasure or leisure. You don’t think of it as an endeavor that earns you money.
A passion is something that interests you from within. You find time to do it even during busy times. It’s a calling and you do it no matter what.
A passion doesn’t necessarily have to produce monetary benefits. You’ll keep doing it because of your deep interest and inner calling.
A job or jobs are endeavors that you do to support yourself and/or your loved ones. These are the activities that you do to earn money and survive in the real world.
You might not like doing the job you do; however, you need to keep doing it because you’re a mature adult, surviving on your own, independently.
It’s okay if you don’t have any hobbies.
It’s okay if you don’t have any passions.
However, it’s not okay if you don’t have a job. It is what helps you pay your bills and survive in this material world.
If you’re stuck or confused, or find your thoughts in disarray over whether to take up a hobby, pursue a passion, or do a job, choose the job first. Do the job first even if it means doing activities/tasks you don’t like. Do it even if you don’t feel any passion for it.
The other two can wait; they have to wait. The job comes first, everything else should follow after that.
